Hello, everyone. I Praise the lord and thank Him deeply for His mercies upon our lives. We are in the midst of storms, but we are learning to rejoice, trusting in the Lord’s goodness.
I was up early, before dawn, to spend time with the Lord in Dwelling Prayer and was listening to Pastor Tony Rapu. I was listening to his album, Shekere 17:0. He is really an anointed guy.
Thirty minutes into the album he was chanting, and I will try and share the words he was chanting.
Shekere 17.0 – Chants of Deliverance (excerpt)
"I choose the way of the Lord
For the way of the Lord is the way of wisdom
I choose the fear of the Lord
For the fear of the lord is the way of wisdom.
I choose the word of the Lord
For the word of the lord shall endure forever
I choose the way of the Lord for the way of the Lord is the way of righteousness.
I choose the way of the Lord.
For the way of the Lord is the way of holiness.
I choose the way of the lord
For the way of the Lord is the way of forgiveness"
While listening to this my mind went to ancient biblical Israel when Moses returned and found Aaron, his brother, had made a Golden calf declaring it to be their “god".
Let’s go to the passage in the Bible, in Exodus 32. We will start reading from verses 22-29. We know the background, how Moses was on the mountain to meet the Lord. He was going to receive the tablets but suddenly the Lord told him there was a problem in the camp. He had better go down. So, he had come down and found a very difficult situation. So from verse 22…,
Exodus 32:22–28 (ESV):
22 And Aaron said, “Let not the anger of my lord burn hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil. 23 For they said to me, ‘Make us gods who shall go before us. As for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.’ 24 So I said to them, ‘Let any who have gold take it off.’ So, they gave it to me, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf.”
25 And when Moses saw that the people had broken loose (for Aaron had let them break loose, to the derision of their enemies), 26 then Moses stood in the gate of the camp and said, “Who is on the LORD’s side? Come to me.” And all the sons of Levi gathered around him. 27 And he said to them, “Thus says the LORD God of Israel, ‘Put your sword on your side each of you, and go to and fro from gate to gate throughout the camp, and each of you kill his brother and his companion and his neighbor.’” 28 And the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses. And that day about three thousand men of the people fell.
That was the end of the passage.
Guys, Moses asked Israel " Who is on the Lord's Side?" and he said if you are " come to me"
Each of us had and has to continue making choices on whose side we are. Are we on the Lord's Side? Or the side of the world?
Like the People of Israel, we begin our Journey to Paradise when we acknowledge Jesus as Savior and Lord. But it does not end there otherwise we lose out.
Philippians 2:12 says:
Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling”
Guys, moment by moment, in every situation, in every decision however minor it might seem it comes down to one issue ─ are you on the Lord's side?
We all have our own self-will. We have the spirit of the World and we have the Prince of Darkness all pressurizing us each moment in our marriages, work, relationships, finances, in our choice of where to live, where our children go to school, how we bring up our children, our choice of entertainment, how we handle our trials, sufferings, how we plan our futures, the choices we make. Each moment they pressurize us not to choose the side of the Lord.
Before I joined the Heartdweller Family I never liked President Trump as a politician. But once I knew the Mind of Christ I took the side of God.
Whose side are you? We must take a stand. Moses said, those on the side of God, "Come to me". We must be intentional moment by moment with every decision and choice we make.
Mother Caroline and I have had to learn, in these past five months in Ghana, to "flow…" with what the Lord is doing in our lives and around us. Submitting to very difficult situations, many times grudgingly. But deep in our hearts we have chosen the "Lord’s Side" We have fallen many times, ]=but we have resolved to choose the Lord above all else. Remember the chant, “I chose the way of the Lord. For the way of the Lord is the way of wisdom.” What have we chosen? May the Lord give all of us the grace to know and choose his side moment by moment.
Thank you for listening. Be blessed…until next time.
