Hello dear brothers & Sisters and the YouTube family.
This Monday morning, I was seated before the Lord in dwelling prayer and one of the songs had this line, "Let our life praise the Lord". The Holy Spirit used these words to search me and convict me of many areas of my life that were not really bringing "praise to the Lord."
Presently I am reading the Bible together with Mother Caroline. We are still in the Book of Genesis, and when we read the story of Noah, we were reminded of how the Bible described Noah's character. Twice in Genesis 6:22 and Genesis 7:5 the scriptures state,
So, Noah did everything exactly as God had commanded him.
My goodness, Lord have mercy on me. I know I am falling short of truly praising the Lord with my life. Noah's life truly brought praise to the Lord..
Psalm 146:1 says,
"Let all that I am praise the Lord. "
Jesus our Lord is our perfect example. In John 17:4 Jesus was talking to God the Father. Jesus said,
"I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do."
Bringing Glory to God, and letting our life praise him is the same thing.
Noah brought praise to God by his total submission.
I have literally sat down and looked at every tiny little thing in my life to see if it all brings praise to the Lord. My faithfulness to His Word, faithfulness to His instructions as a Heartdweller and missionary. My reaction to trials, difficulties, scorn, and contempt. How do I really treat my wife? How do I handle money? how do I use my time? How do I handle offense? How do I deal with fellow men who are determined to harm me or my loved ones? How do I view my ministerial duties? How do I handle gossip? My attitude towards food and sleep. Is my affection real towards other souls who belong to Jesus? Do I have a generous heart? How is the frequency of my murmuring, complaining, and even condemning others? Do I empathize with others? Am I reliable and dependable?
I placed myself on a scale and surely am not doing well. I really need to cut out some "dead weight".
Family how many of us truly sit quietly each evening and truthfully review our day and make amends.
Moses' anger made him fail to enter and see the Promised Land. Let us not be preoccupied with our lives and personal agendas and forget we eventually have to give an account of every word, thought and action to God.
1 Peter 2:9 says,
"But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light."
Let our dealings with our loved ones, fellow believers, and the world reveal the goodness of God.
Jesus in Your merciful Love, help each of us to bring praise to you in our day-to-day lives.
Until next time, remain blessed in the Lord Jesus.
